NTR as Casanova

After Playing the roles of a romantic hero, action hero, and ideal son, Junior NTR is now set to project himself as a playboy.

The young Telugu actor will be seen as a Casanova, chasing girls in his next movie titled Rabasa. 

Santosh Srinivas, who directed the hit movie, Kandireega, will direct Rabasa. Bellamkonda Suresh, under the banner of Sri Sai Ganesh Productions, will produce the movie, which will go on floors later this year. Anoop Ruebens has already commenced composing music for the eagerly awaited project.

At present, Jr NTR is shooting Ramayya Vasthavaiyya, being directed by Harish Shankar. Nearly 75% of the shooting for the movie is completed. The songs for the movie will be shot abroad while the remaining portion of the talkie shooting will take place in Hyderabad.

In Ramayya Vasthavaiyya, a socio-fantasy movie, Jr NTR will sport his six-pack abs. A rom-com, the movie has two heroines – Shruti Haasan and Samantha Prabhu. Being produced on a huge budget of Rs 35 crore, Ramayya Vasthavaiyya is slated for release in September.

The shooting for Rabasa is expected to be complete in January. Apparently, the script of the movie closely resembles Kandireega 2, the sequel to Kandireega, which featured Ram Pothineni in the lead role. When Srinivas wrote the script for Kandireega 2, he had Ram in mind. However, when it became clear that Ram will not be part of Kandireega 2, Srinivas narrated the script to Jr NTR, who liked it.

However, as the superstar was not keen on titling the movie Kandireega 2 and being part of it, he suggested a few crucial changes in the plot. Accordingly, Srinivas revised the plot and named the movie Rabasa. In the process, Srinivas has also retained the original story of Kandireega 2, in case he plans to direct it someday as asequel. It will be interesting to see Jr NTR in contrasting characters in back-to-back movies.

NTR too packed for politics??...

Political turmoil in Andhra Pradesh shows no sign of subsiding. Tollywood’s favorite star young tiger NTR has maintained stoic silence over the entire issue. But speculations are rife that there is some surprise in store from him in the next elections. NTR's father Nandamuri Harikrishna has been voicing his concerns vociferously about Samaikandhra. This is definitely not in lines of the decision that his party has taken over the issue.

If rumours are to be believed then Harikrishna and his son NTR have grand plans in the next elections.

But a source close to NTR says that all these rumours are nothing but rumours. NTR has signed many films, which will keep him a tight schedule till the end of 2014. Doesn’t his film line-up show his preference, we were questioned?

NTR is presently working on Ramayya Vastavayya, which he will finish very soon. Rabhasa under the direction of Kandireega director Santosh Srinivas will follow. As this year will close, NTR will move on to a film under the direction of Koratala Siva.

Next year he has an interesting line-up. NTR has plans of working with Trivikram Srinivas, writer turned Vakkantham Vamsi and a film with Sukumar is in proposal stage. With all this we just can’t stop but wondering that, where does NTR have time for politics with such a jam packed work schedule.

RABHASA movie update

The shooting of Young Tiger NTR’s film in ‘Kandireega’ Srinivas’s direction is currently underway. Some fight sequences are being canned on NTR in Tellapur area. Bellamkonda Srinivas is the producer of this movie. Regular shooting of this film started a few days ago in Jubilee Hills.

Samantha is the heroine in this mass entertainer. Anoop Rubens is the music director for this project.

Senior actors like Jayasudha, Shayaji Shinde, Jayaprakash Reddy and Ajay will be seen in key roles in this movie.
