Theaters closing from sept 1st week in seema andhra

Telugu Film Industry seems highly disturbed with the ongoing Seemandhra agitations and for its political connections. Megastar Chiranjeevi and Nandamuri Harikrishna’s Pro-Samaikyandhra stand is creating a stumbling block for many big films in Telangana region. Whereas in Seemandhra, Theater owners and distributors are heavily suffering financial losses as there are no big releases. Ever since the agitations started in Seemandhra region, big producers are stepping back to release their movies.

Adding to the heat, few Samaikyandhra activists have given a call to stay away from Mega heroes’ flicks as Chiranjeevi refused to step down as Union Minister. Apparently, all these developments left Tollywood in a vulnerable position.

And so, Seemandhra Theater owners are in plans to shut down the theaters for one week starting from September first week, in protest against state bifurcation. It not only helps them to cut down their losses but also ensure their participation in the agitations. With this development, Ram Charan’s ‘Toofan’, which is hitting screens on 6th September, may get affected severely
