President Praised NTR!!

                     

Centenary celebrations of Indian Cinema have come to an end on Yesterday. Tamil Nadu government and South Indian Film Chamber jointly hosted the event. President Mukherjee graced the event as a chief guest of closing ceremony and spoke proud about giants of South Indian Cinema

Honourable President said that South Indian Cinema played an important role in the development of Indian Cinema also  he praised the contribution of NTR, MGR, Raj Kumar, Shivaji Ganesan, Nagi Reddy and LV Prasad. Especially Pranab spokes high about the Telugu Legend NTR and recalled how he itched the Congress government.

He called for the new age filmmakers join hands with experienced to churn out movies on social issues like women protection, caste killings and internal security.

The stage was also graced by the presence of Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Jaya Lalitha ,Kerala Chief Minister Oman Chandi, Minister of Karnataka Santosh Nag.Jaya Lalitha was conferred with the 'Lifetime Achievement Award' which also initiated the process of award presentation and felicitation to 43 legends from film industries across the country.

Later President presented the awards to K.Vishwanath, K.Balachander, Bapu, Raghavendra Rao, Sridevi and others. Surprisingly there was no official representative attended from the Andhra Pradesh Government
